Our Favorite Boston Parks!

At Smiling Button, we’re always looking for a playful way to beat the heat! One of our favorite ways to have fun this summer is to enjoy our local parks! With sprinklers, sandboxes, and playgrounds galore, parks are the best way to relax, play, and meet new friends! Here are a few of our favorite parks in Boston...

Public Garden & Boston Common

Features: Community gardens, Botanical displays, Play areas

Location: 4 Charles Street Boston, MA 02116

This classic park is known as the first public botanical garden in America. Admire the rich and colorful plants, the peaceful lagoon, and the Swan Boats! There are always fun and exciting activities to enjoy at frog pond! A summer spray pool and carousel make for the perfect playful destination. Be sure to visit the “Make Way for Ducklings” sculpture with your little one!

Christopher Columbus Park

Features:  Parks, Playgrounds

Location: Near Bozzuto Communities and Park Lane Seaport

This picturesque park on the waterfront in the North End is perfect for both kids and parents. In the large gated playground, kids can pack a picnic, play on the playground, or splash around in the sprinklers! With only a four-minute walk from the Boston Aquarium, be sure to visit your favorite sea creatures after a fun day in the park. Enjoy the summer fun!

Arnold Arboretum

Features:  Botanical Gardens, Walking Trails

Location: 125 Arborway, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130

With all the hustle and bustle of Boston, it’s hard to believe that such beautiful life exists inside this arboretum! This elegant and serene park is perfect for nature walks, picnics, and relaxation. Make sure to check out Bonsai garden, a peaceful garden featuring plants from all around the world. Our favorite park activity is to wait by the ponds to see turtle friends come out from the water to say hello!
